What is the Sorensensistem concept? Lone Sorensen began her career in Denmark 30+ years ago as a foot reflexologist. Further studies in acupuncture, kinesiology and more led her to develop her own unique method of reflexology. She is most known for her face reflex therapy work on children with special needs and rehabilitation. The Sorensensistem Reflex Therapy uses body maps & medicinal beliefs from a myriad of traditions (Chinese, Japanese, South American, Vietnamese and Tibetan) and combines it with current knowledge of neuro-anatomy. The end result is an effective, non-invasive & holistic support therapy used today all over the world for many health challenges (though reflex therapy does NOT cure diseases or conditions). Consider using Reflex Therapy Sorensensistem to help with hormonal imbalances, many different brain concerns from learning disabilities to dementia to stroke recovery, allergies, headaches, facial paralysis, insomnia, weight loss and the list goes on. The idea is that MANY health issues even serious chronic conditions can benefit from regular reflex therapy sessions. The only side effect is RELAXATION! I believe in the power of natural healing. After experiencing many health improvements following a Nutritional Balancing program, I wanted to help others realize better health naturally. I chose to learn reflexology as it is a very supportive therapy for whatever ails you or just for relaxation. As I searched for reflexology schools, I learned about Lone Sorensen and face reflexology. I was very intrigued with her approach, working on the face and its healing potential particularly for brain and hormonal dysfunction. This was what I wanted to learn & took the first training module in Santa Fe, NM in 2012. But difficulty in obtaining the remaining coursework prompted me to train in basic foot reflexology in the interim. I became certified in foot reflexology using the Ingham method from the Healthy Soles School of Reflexology (Rockford, IL) in 2013. Finally, a trip to NC in 2013 allowed me to complete my class training for the SORENSENSISTEM Face Reflex therapy. The required practical work was finished in 2014. Thankfully, Lone Sorensen has since developed an online school, The International Institute of Reflex Therapy, so that I can continue my studies easily. Today, I only use the SORENSENSISTEM approach in my reflex therapy work.
