BUT, rolling not only helps your feet but can decrease fatigue, increase circulation along with being relaxing. SHARING SELF-CARING IDEA #1: Grab an old golf ball and start rolling away foot pain. How to do this easy Do It Yourself technique? Place a golf ball under your foot while sitting (easiest) or standing for a deeper massage. When you find an ouch, hold and press for a few seconds. Even if you don't have foot pain, it's worth doing as it just feels good!
Got fall hay fever? I feel for you if you do! Hay fever can mean a runny nose, itchy eyes, congestion, sneezing and/or sinus pressure. ROSE HIP SEED OIL

Rosehip oil is derived from the seeds of a Rosehip. Rosehips contain numerous essential fatty acids (omega 6, omega 3, linoleic acid), antioxidants and vitamins (retinol vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E). Rose hips have between 15 and 20% oleic acid (omega 9), between 44 and 50% linoleic acid (omega 6) and between 30 and 35% linolenic acid (omega 3).
These essential fatty acids are thought to help with skin tissue regeneration, increase skin elasticity and also have anti-bacterial properties. Rosehip Oil can be used on any skin type - sensitive, dry, oily or mature skin.
A face session starts with a gentle wipe with an organic cotton pad moistened with organic rose water. This removes any surface dirt and oils from your face. I then apply just a few drops of organic rosehip seed oil to allow my fingers to move across your face with ease.

Did you know that there are over 300 points on the ear that map to other parts of your body? And just like the foot, hands and face, you can stimulate the ear to alleviate health conditions in other parts of the body?
It's called auriculotherapy. Auriculotherapy is based upon ancient Chinese beliefs but also includes discoveries made by the French physician, Dr Paul Nogier in the 1950s. Commonly used by acupuncturists - either using needles or a electro-acupuncture tool as part of their treatment plan or by affixing 'ear seeds' at the end of the session to reinforce a treatment.
There are 4 main ways that ear points are stimulated; using needles by an acupuncturist, using your own finger or a metal probe to massage or press an area, affixing a very small seed on the points or by using an electroacupuncture tool.
Auriculotherapy has long been used for pain control but recent studies are showing it is useful for many other conditions such as; dementia, insomnia, addictions, stress, weight loss, migraines, TMJ and others.
While I don't have a lot of training in auriculotherapy, I was given some instruction on this technique during my training for foot reflexology and in my Ocular Therapy course @ the Intl Institute of Reflex Therapy, some ear points are used for eye conditions. I've decided to do some further exploration of this technique and you, my lovely clients, have the opportunity to experience it yourself.
With your permission, I will use my new electroacupuncture tool at the onset of your session to activate a few master points. This will jump start the relaxation process. Then, if you have specific health issues, we can consider placing some ear seeds in your ear after your regular reflexology session. The ear seeds will apply a very gentle pressure on the points while the seeds remain in place. Some practitioners advocate pressing on them a few times a day yet others claim doing so may move the seed from the intended point and not be as beneficial. Typically, the adhesive will become loose in 2 to 4 days. At that time remove them. Seeds may be placed in both ears or can be done on one side one time, the other side the next time.

FIR = Far Infrared Therapy. What is it? Think of it as the sun minus the bad stuff like UV light. FIR therapy mat. Think of it as a penetrating heating pad minus the bad stuff (EMF). Heating pads do provide warmth but only at the skin's surface. Heating pads also provide a high dose of electro-magnetic fields (not a good thing!).
Far infrared penetrates deeper into the body and therefore, can have a possible therapeutic value. The mats are designed to keep EMF exposurevery low. Most FIR mats contain various stones (jade, tourmaline, amethyst are common). This produces negative ions (with the positive effect of triggering an overall better mood, purifying the air and more).
FIR therapy has been shown to relieve back pain in minutes, reduce stress, restore energy, boost the immune system, assist in restful sleep and aid in detoxification. And who wouldn't benefit from any or all of these claims. I now use a jade/tourmaline FIR mat so that your reflexology experience with me will be even better!
Plantar fasciitis = Ouch! This condition presents itself as pain in the heel and bottom of the foot overall. It can be particularly severe with the 1st steps of the day.
It develops over time, typically with one foot and possibly in both. Plantar fasciitis is inflammation of the plantar fascia ligament. The plantar fascia ligament is made of fibrous bands of tissue and runs between the heel bone and your toes and stretches with every step. Inflammation develops when a tear occur in the tissue.
Why? The most common causes are;
1. An overload of physical activity or exercise.
4. Wearing incorrect shoes.
5. Mechanics of the foot(flat feet, high arches, pronation, or having an abnormal gait).
Regardless of the specific reason, INFLAMMATION is the common result. I believe by regularly providing circulation to the foot in various ways (both at home and with therapy such as TCM based reflexology) you will experience relief. This is my 1st PROVE IT special.
UPDATE as of 7/24/2018: I had one client commit to weekly sessions for the last few months. I'm happy to say that regular reflexology made her feet happy! Any morning foot pain was gone except when she had to miss a week...then symptoms began to return though less severe.

To be clear, this is not a facial involving masks though as with all face sessions, I do wipe your face with organic rose water and apply a small amount of organic rose hip seed oil.
I recently completed additional training from the Intl Institute of Reflex Therapy on working with mouth issues using Reflex Therapy. As a believer in natural body care (& making it myself if I can), I wanted to share with you some simple & natural mouth care ideas to support your quest to improve your mouth. I suggest only using natural and ideally organic mouth care ingredients. Why? Because the skin DOES absorb what you put on it to a certain degree. My understanding is that the thinner the skin, the more absorbable it is - this means your lips and gums!
The basic mouth care routine includes brushing your teeth & flossing regularly. Okay, boring, you all know that but what kind of toothpaste, what kind of toothbrush and let’s add a few other ideas to consider and hopefully add to your mouth beauty routine.
You don’t need fancy toothpaste and no longer do you have to worry about putting the cap back on the tube or rolling up the tube! Instead, using a homemade or store bought tooth powder is the answer. A bonus is that tooth powders travel well. Here are some recipes for you to try;
1. Sea salt. That’s it. Just sprinkle some sea salt onto your brush and away you go.
2. Baking soda with a drop of an essential oil.
3. Mineralizing recipe: 1 tablespoon each of turmeric, activated charcoal, sea salt and finely ground eggshells or calcium carbonate.
4. Herbal tooth powder recipe: 3 parts oak bark, horsetail and peppermint, 6 parts comfrey, 1 part cloves.
Brushing with a soft toothbrush that you replace regularly (monthly is best) is the way to go. You may want to dip your brush in a tea tree/water solution or hydrogen peroxide to keep it clean.
If you use a mouthwash, try a simple sea salt water solution or just filtered water with an essential oil like tea tree oil. Aloe vera juice is another good choice.
MASSAGE YOUR GUMS
Gum disease would benefit from massaging your gums. Add 6 drops of an essential oil to 1 tablespoon of oil (coconut, sesame, olive, almond, etc). Consider any of these oils; clove oil, myrrh, frankincense, chamomile, silver fir, bitter orange or basil.
Have bad breath? While bad breath has a deeper cause, using tongue scraper can help.
Whiten teeth over time by applying an activated charcoal paste or baking soda paste to your teeth. Let it sit for 15 minutes before brushing and rinsing. Do this weekly.
Oil pulling is an Ayurvedic dental technique that involves swishing a tablespoon of oil (typically sesame, coconut or olive oil) in your mouth on an empty stomach for around 20 minutes. The theory behind oil pulling is that the oil breaks through plaque and remove toxins without disturbing the teeth or gums.
How to do: Swish for 20 minutes. Apparently the timing is key, according to Dr. Bruce Fife, author of Oil Pulling Therapy, as this is long enough to break through plaque and bacteria but not long enough that the body starts re-absorbing the toxins and bacteria. The oil will get thicker and milky as it mixed with saliva during this time and it should be creamy-white when spit out. It will also double in volume during this time due to saliva. At first, it can be difficult to make it the full 20 minutes. When done, spit oil in the trash can (not the sink as it may clog pipes). Do not swallow either as it likely contains bacteria & toxins (we hope). Rinse and brush.
TOOTH ACHE REMEDIES
OUCH! Mouth pain may be reduced by shining a red heat lamp on the affected area for 5 to 10 minutes several times a day. Hold a tablespoon of colloidal silver in your mouth by the tooth until it is mostly absorbed, spit out any excess. Topical herbs to apply on the tooth; Echinacea, ground cloves (or oil), goldenseal, oregano oil.
Last but not least is to use reflex therapy regularly. I'd be happy to design a protocol for your main concerns.
